This teaching guide for instructing students in Internet of Things programming using mathematical modeling and data analysis is intended for mathematics and computer science teachers in elementary and secondary schools, as well as for students training to teach these subjects. It responds to the requirements of the new curriculum reform in Slovakia, which emphasizes a cyclical learning process, the development of data, digital, and mathematical literacy, and the integration of teaching with real-world problems and technologies. The guide is designed in accordance with the methodological framework of design-based research. It contains technological and methodological foundations, as well as a set of proven teaching activities divided into three levels of difficulty. The teaching guide provides teachers with specific instructions, recommendations, and examples of best practices for the meaningful integration of IoT and mathematical modeling into teaching across different educational cycles, creating space for modern, interdisciplinary, and data-driven education.

This conference textbook is published as the output of the 13th annual Student Scientific Conference held in December 2025. The Student Scientific Conference is a selective course included in the curricula of the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (FF UPJŠ), which has been organized since 2011. Its primary objective is to provide a platform for Bachelor’s and Master’s students to present fragments of their primary research conducted during the preparation of their final theses. The aim of these proceedings is not only to publish these thematically diverse texts but also to demonstrate a commitment to above-standard pedagogical activities and to provide benefit to university studies. This is reflected, on the one hand, in the form of a published output and, on the other, in the motivation it provides for students to actively participate in the event. This year's volume contains twelve texts with a chronological scope ranging from Antiquity to 20th-century history. Thematically, it covers a broad spectrum, from political and economic to cultural history. A specific feature of this volume is the inclusion of four international papers by students from the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw and Charles University in Prague. Their participation in the conference is the result of established cooperation based on the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), which took place in Košice from October 13 to October 17, 2025.

This collection of scientific papers is a direct output of the 2nd Czechoslovak Symposium titled "AI in Administrative Law: ROBOT – GOOD SERVANT, BAD MASTER," held on October 2nd and 3rd, 2025, in the Tokaj region. The symposium was organized as part of the research project VEGA no. 1/0062/25, entitled "Automation of Decision-Making Processes in Public Administration".This proceeding provide a comprehensive presentation and professional confrontation of knowledge regarding the use of artificial intelligence within decision-making processes in public administration, at both the national and European levels.

Individual contributions examine the theoretical limits of national regulations, as well as practical impacts in sectoral areas, such as the digitalization of the labor market, alternative resolution of administrative disputes, prevention of illegal content, and the specific issue of liability for null and void decisions issued by artificial intelligence systems. The ultimate goal of these contributions is formulation of legislative recommendations aimed at streamlining administrative proceedings in the Slovak Republic, while simultaneously respecting the principles of the rule of law and the protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms.

The lecture notes "Land Information Systems and Smart Cities" provides a comprehensive overview of geoinformation technologies within the context of public administration and modern land management. The publication systematically explains the principles of Land Information Systems (LIS), their architecture, components, and practical applications. Emphasis is placed on linking GIS technologies with real-world applications in local governments, infrastructure organizations, and the business sector. The text covers the hardware and software equipment of LIS, including modern trends such as cloud computing, open-source solutions, and the integration of artificial intelligence.

Special attention is given to data, which represent a key component of LIS, including an overview of the most important geospatial data products in Slovakia. The publication analyzes WebGIS technologies, map portals, and OGC standards (WMS, WFS, WCS) in detail, which enable the effective accessibility and sharing of geodata. A significant part is also dedicated to the National Infrastructure for Spatial Information (NIPI) and the INSPIRE Directive, ensuring data interoperability at both national and European levels.

The publication provides a systematic overview of the core models of systemic therapy and its theoretical as well as practical foundations. The opening chapters of the textbook outline the historical development of psychotherapeutic approaches and the shift toward the systemic paradigm, which emphasizes the importance of relationships, context, and circularity in understanding psychological phenomena.

The core of the text focuses on the philosophical foundations of systemic therapy, particularly general systems theory, cybernetics, constructivism, and social constructionism, all of which have significantly shaped the understanding of reality, knowledge, and the therapeutic process. Subsequent chapters address biological and social foundations, including the concepts of autopoiesis, cognition, and communication, and their relevance to the functioning of social systems. The publication further elaborates on the practical implications of these theoretical frameworks, especially in relation to causality, language, and the construction of social reality. Systemic understanding of problems is presented as a dynamic and relational process maintained through interactional patterns within the system.

This elektronic material provides practical guidance for determining the structure of organic compounds using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, infrared (IR) spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry (MS). The publication is intended primarily for single-discipline undergraduate and interdisciplinary undergraduate students in chemistry as a supplementary material for the course Methods of Structure Determination – Spectroscopic Methods. The text is divided into four parts: NMR, IR, MS, and exercises on combined structural analysis. Each section includes a brief theoretical introduction, practical tips for spectrum interpretation, solved examples, and especially unsolved exercises that allow students to practice analyzing real spectra. The material supports the development of analytical thinking and the ability to unambiguously determine the structure of unknown compounds. The publication was created as a teaching aid for seminars. Its goal is to help students effectively understand the combination of spectroscopic methods and their application in the structural analysis of organic compounds.

This peer-reviewed non-conference proceedings volume was prepared as part of the research project VVGS-2024-3421 “Modernisation and Rationalisation of Local Government through AI” and is thematically linked to the Slovak Week of Science and Technology focused on living with artificial intelligence. The volume includes 17 scholarly contributions primarily addressing the application of artificial intelligence in public administration, innovations in governance methods, and modern approaches to public sector management. Slovak for Dentists is a textbook intended for international dental students preparing to communicate professionally in Slovak in a real dental environment. Okrem zabezpečenia potrebnej učebnice pre vysoké školy, hlavný cieľ spočíva v snahe podať študentom a mladým vedeckým pracovníkom základnú orientáciu v danej problematike, a to tak v pojmovej oblasti, ako aj v teoretickej. V neposlednom rade  učebnica napĺňa ambíciu motivovať záujem k ďalšej tvorivej akademickej práce a v rozširovaní vedomostí z oblasti zahraničnej, bezpečnostnej a medzinárodnej politiky v prepojení na diplomaciou.

This proceedings of scientific papers presents papers from the international scientific conference of the same name, which took place from 24 to 26 September 2025 at the UPJŠ in Košice and was supported by the projects APVV-23-0158 "Reform of the Customs Union in the Era of Electronic Commerce in the Slovak Republic" and VEGA 1/0698/25 "Development Fee as a Tool for the Development of Municipalities and Cities in the Slovak Republic". Individual papers are aimed at addressing current issues of tax law, budgetary law and financial market law in the context of the challenges of the ongoing multi-crisis (starting with the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the extreme increase in energy and other supplies costs or inflation, and the subsequent need for consolidation of public finances). The dominant thematic focus of the contributions was to examine the potential of alternative dispute resolution methods in protecting the public interest on the one hand, and the subjective rights of natural persons and legal entities in the exercise of public administration on the other. The collection provides a space for researchers working on this topic to present the results of their research to date and compare them with the reality of administrative dispute resolution. The combination of a theoretical approach with practical experience significantly contributes to the improvement of the scientific work of the project researchers, while also enriching practitioners with the diversity and innovativeness of theoretical perspectives on their established practice.

Okrúhle číslo Doktorandských miscelaneí nás vyzýva na krátke bilancovanie. V desiatich zväzkoch zborníka sme uverejnili spolu 116 príspevkov zo siedmich doktorandských študijných odborov. V každom čísle boli zastúpené štúdie z literárnej vedy (v prvých šiestich zväzkoch bol pre interdisciplinárne filologické štúdie používaný názov literárna veda/slovakistika). Z ostatných odborov boli najčastejšie uverejňované texty z filozofie a sociálnej práce, pričom štúdie z filozofie chýbali iba v posledných dvoch zväzkoch a štúdie zo sociálnej práce v prvých dvoch a v siedmom zväzku.

V zborníku sa snažíme udržiavať prvotnú myšlienku, ktorou bolo kultivovať domáci výskumný priestor najmladšej generácie bádateľov v interdisciplinárnom dialógu, čo si vyžaduje dosahovanie medzinárodných štandardov kvality, no na druhej strane aj zachovanie identity zborníka ako jedinečnej domácej publikačnej platformy.

V prvom rade ide o snahu vyrovnať sa s otázkou metafyziky ako filozofického problému vo vlastnej Heideggerovej tvorbe tak, aby čitateľ mal možnosť najprv sa zoznámiť s jeho vlastným riešením tejto otázky v priereze celej jeho tvorby. Kolektívna monografia Leško, V. – Róbert Stojka a kol.: Heidegger, metafyzika a Gréci (Košice: UPJŠ 2016, 695 s.) je prvým historicko-filozofickým pokusom na Slovensku, ale aj v širších zahraničných kontextoch, vysporiadať sa s takto zvolenou ústrednou témou Heideggerovho diela. Práca je členená do troch základných časti. V prvej, ktorá je nazvaná od Augustína k Aristotelovi, autori jednotlivých kapitol skúmajú genézu Heideggerovho vzťahu ku gréckej filozofii a skúmanie hlavnej Heideggerovej otázky – otázky bytia - od jeho prvých prednáškových kurzov k Aristotelovej filozofii z rokov 1921/1922 až do roku 1929, keď mu vychádza práca k Aristotelovej Metafyzike. Naše skúmanie jednoznačne potvrdzuje skutočnosť, že v týchto Heideggerových raných textov (prednáškových cyklov) sa postupne rodia všetky dôležité filozofické pozície, ktoré mali svoje zavŕšenie v práci Bytie a čas.
