V porovnaní s minulými číslami chýbajú v aktuálnom zväzku tradične zastúpené odbory filozofie a sociálnej práce. Naopak, pribudli príspevky z histórie a politológie . Menší počet príspevkov v tohtoročnom zväzku Doktorandských miscelaneí vyvažuje rôznorodosť uvažovania mladých vedcov nad aktuálnymi témami. Zastúpenie štyroch humanitných a spoločen-skovedných študijných programov, no predovšetkým individuálne tvorivé výkony doktorandov našej fakulty sú vo svojej pestrosti i invencii inšpirujúce nielen pre najmladšiu generáciu bádateľov, ale aj pre širšie akademické prostredie.

Peer-reviewed collection of works from the scientific conference with international participation held on May 28, 2015, in Košice

On May 28, 2015, the Department of Public Policy and Public Administration, in cooperation with the organizing and scientific committee, organized a scientific conference with international participation titled "Current Challenges and Problems of Public Administration II. – Perspectives of Municipal Policy in Slovakia after the 2014 Elections."

The conference content followed up on the conference "Current Problems and Challenges of Public Administration I.," which was held on November 21, 2012, and laid the foundation for a series of conferences dedicated to the important issue of public administration. The conference focused on a broad range of problems related to public administration from the perspective of its understanding as an academic discipline in connection with political science, law, ethical aspects, economics, digitalization, and public administration management, with a focus on the perspectives of municipal policy.

The authors in their contributions did not remain only at the theoretical and generally descriptive level but sought to address existing problems by formulating proposals and possible ways to solve them in the application to public administration practice. The authors and editors believe that this collection of papers will have a positive contribution not only for theorists and students of the Faculty of Public Administration but also for representatives and professionals from practice who are daily confronted with issues of public administration.

V dňoch 26. – 29. mája 2025 sa bude v Starej Lesnej konať už 11. ročník celouniverzitného podujatia Jarná škola doktorandov UPJŠ. V rámci odborného programu odznie šesť plenárnych prednášok významných odborníkov z Univerzity Pavla Jozefa Šafárika a uskutočnia sa dva workshopy. Prezentovať výsledky svojej doterajšej vedeckovýskumnej práce bude spolu 52 doktorandov dennej formy štúdia, z toho 26 doktorandov v sekcii lekárskych a prírodných vied (Lekárska fakulta/Prírodovedecká fakulta) a 26 doktorandov v sekcii spoločenskovedných a humanitných vied (Právnická fakulta/Fakulta verejnej správy/Filozofická fakulta).

Publikace o vlivu výživy, aktivizace a o podpoře soběstačnosti u rizikových pacientů a o vlivu na jejich kvalitu života. Obsahuje komplexně zpracované nejnovější vědecké poznatky o výživě a jejím vlivu na funkční stav rizikových pacientů. 
V jednotlivých kapitolách jsou prezentovány klinické zkušenosti o vzájemné podmíněnosti výživy a fyzické aktivity u geriatrických pacientů, onkologicky nemocných, pacientů po překonání náhlé cévní mozkové příhody, s chronickými respiračními onemocněními a kriticky nemocné.
Uvedené oblasti jsou zpracovány z pohledu několika vědních oborů – gerontologie, ošetřovatelství, fyzioterapie a sociální práce. 
Monografie je určena studentům medicíny, ošetřovatelství, fyzioterapie, sociální práce a všem zdravotnickým i sociálním pracovníkům, kteří se starají o uvedenou skupinu pacientů, ale i rodinným příslušníkům a neprofesionálním pečovatelům.

Predkladaný zborník je publikovaným výstupom zo Študentskej vedeckej konferencie, ktorá sa na pôde Katedry histórie FF UPJŠ uskutočnila dňa 02.12.2024. Bolo to už po trinásty krát. Zborník z tohto ročníka (už tretí v poradí) sa tak zaradil do tejto úspešnej série. Obsiahnuté príspevky, podobne ako aj v starších zborníkoch z tejto konferencie, približujú stav bádania korelujúci so záverečnými prácami študentov na bakalárskom a magisterskom stupni štúdia.

Proceedings from the 13th International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Researchers, organized on May 16, 2024, by the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Arts at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, the Institute of Political Science and Public Administration of the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Miskolc, the Institute of Social Studies of the Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies at Mendel University in Brno, the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, and the civic association Respublica.

The aim of the translated publication NEW EUROPE: Back to the Future is to reflect on the challenges in the fields of international security, the fight against climate change, and environmental protection, and to highlight selected global phenomena.

The proceedings consist of 12 contributions in Slovak, English, and Czech. The authors primarily addressed selected current issues from the international environment in the context of deteriorating international relations and global security.

The topics of the contributions mainly include questions of international security (for example, in Germany or Hungary), environmental issues and the fight against the climate crisis. Furthermore, the proceedings include topics such as the European Parliament elections, selected narratives related to the war in Ukraine, migration to Europe and its security aspects, self-reflection of the European political system, and public space and public discourse. The proceedings also include a part of an upcoming utopian novel.
