EFFUSE - Scientific Education for Advanced is an educational material designed for university students interested in ecological sciences, biology and environmental protection. The publication was developed as part of the EFFUSE project and focuses on the scientific investigation of living organisms in the river ecosystem, with an emphasis on their ecological role and importance as bioindicators. The river ecosystem is a dynamic environment where a wide range of organisms can be studied, from algae and phytoplankton to aquatic invertebrates, fish, amphibians and reptiles. This publication presents a detailed study of their adaptations, life cycles, reproductive strategies and their importance for ecological balance. Particular attention is paid to fish and amphibians, whose environmental demands and sensitivity to pollution make them important indicators of water quality and environmental status. The publication also provides guidance on how to integrate their study into university education in the form of practical research. It also includes a chapter on science education in the context of sustainable development, which is often absent from university curricula in Slovakia and Ukraine. This material promotes the link between theory and practice and develops students' scientific thinking in order to prepare them to meet the environmental challenges of the future.

The presented textbook provides comprehensive and complete overview of the fundamental tasks and theoretical knowledge of the field of forensic medicine. Its aim is to provide a theoretical basis in the form of images of morphological autopsy findings for the study of the compulsory subject Forensic Medicine and Medical Law in the study programs General Medicine and Dentistry. The author emphasizes the necessity to understand the fundamentals of forensic medicine in every medical field and a multidisciplinary approach in clarifying medico-legal issues.

The presented annotated source edition represents the first systematic attempt to process selected documents related to the history of personal automobilism in Slovakia during the interwar period. It addresses a notable research and publication gap in Slovak historiography, where the topic of automobilism has long remained marginal. Although research in this field has progressed over the last two decades, Slovak scholarship still lags behind Czech historiography. The main ambition of the edition is to present a broad selection of sources to highlight key thematic lines in the development of personal automobilism. The sources are divided into two main thematic groups: economic-legislative issues and cultural-social dimensions. Special attention is given to car accessibility, infrastructure, legal frameworks, visual advertising, and the activities of motoring associations. The typologically diverse corpus includes archival records, printed materials, visual sources, and photographs. The edition builds on a 2017 authorial monograph, expanding it with new insights and sources. It draws from collections housed in the National Archives in Prague, the Slovak National Archive, and various regional archives. The work also benefits from the application of modern methodological approaches, such as Business History and cultural history. The project was carried out under the scientific grant VVGS-2022-2431 at the Faculty of Arts, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Its results are closely linked to the teaching activities of the research team. The edition is the result of several stages – from heuristics, selection, and processing to peer review and publication. The publication contributes to a vivid understanding of the historical aspects of automobilism and expands knowledge of modernization processes in Slovakia. It also offers potential for use in educational practice and further academic research.

Zborník z XIII. ústavných dní s názvom „Konanie o súlade právnych predpisov – návrhové oprávnenie a účinky rozhodnutí ústavného súdu“ reflektuje novú právnu úpravu účinnú od 1. januára 2025, konkrétne čl. 127 ods. 5 Ústavy SR, ktorá rozširuje právomoci sťažovateľov iniciovať konanie o súlade právnych predpisov prostredníctvom Ústavného súdu Slovenskej republiky. Príspevky renomovaných odborníkov mapujú teoretické aj praktické výzvy spojené s touto novou kompetenciou. Zborník tematicky pokrýva otázky týkajúce sa iniciačných mechanizmov senátov Ústavného súdu, derogačných a časových účinkov rozhodnutí či komparatívnych skúseností z Českej republiky, Maďarska a Poľska. Publikácia zároveň ponúka reflexiu širších javov, ako je judicializácia politického života, či rast implicitných právomocí ústavných súdov. Niektoré príspevky sa zameriavajú na otázky právnej istoty a retroaktivity derogačných nálezov, najmä v konaniach iniciovaných všeobecnými súdmi. V rámci odborného programu odznie šesť plenárnych prednášok významných odborníkov z Univerzity Pavla Jozefa Šafárika a uskutočnia sa dva workshopy. Prezentovať výsledky svojej doterajšej vedeckovýskumnej práce bude spolu 52 doktorandov dennej formy štúdia, z toho 26 doktorandov v sekcii lekárskych a prírodných vied (Lekárska fakulta/Prírodovedecká fakulta) a 26 doktorandov v sekcii spoločenskovedných a humanitných vied (Právnická fakulta/Fakulta verejnej správy/Filozofická fakulta).

V rámci každej hlavy je uvedená všeobecná charakteristika príslušnej hlavy a dielu, do ktorého sa subsumuje konkrétny trestný čin. Učebnica je určená predovšetkým poslucháčom právnických fakúlt a Akadémie Policajného zboru. Učebnicu však môžu využívať aj sudcovia, prokurátori, policajti, advokáti, vyšší súdni úradníci, čakatelia prokuratúry, advokátski koncipienti pri rozbore a zdôvodnení mnohých ustanovení osobitnej časti Trestného zákona. The topic that the students focused on in The proceedings of the XVIIIth edition of the Student Symposium on International and European Law held on November 15, 2024 was centered around the legacy of the 105th anniversary of the Paris Peace Conference. The proceedings, which contain the students' contributions, reflect the pivotal role of this conference in shaping post-war geopolitical stability and redefining relations between states. The expert analyses included in the proceedings focus on the conditions that were intended to ensure lasting peace, yet also created controversial aspects that led to disputes and laid the foundation for future tensions. The students also addressed the impact of the conference's decisions on political and social structures that significantly influenced global development in the 20th century. In addition to the declared outcomes, the students also expressed, in written form within the proceedings, the need to strengthen international cooperation and establish institutions for the prevention of military conflicts, a need that remains relevant today, as these decisions continue to shape the dynamics of contemporary international relations.
