After several years of teaching experience in the compulsory subject of histology and histological techniques, it became clear that there was a need to refine, standardize, and facilitate the study of bachelor's degree students. We therefore decided to develop university textbooks for the theory of general histology in bachelor's degree programs: Laboratory Examination Methods in Healthcare, Physiotherapy, and Nursing. The new textbooks are based on the syllabi for the subjects "Histology and Pathology" and "Fundamentals of Histology" for the given study programs. The content is designed to make the study of histology as easy as possible and to help students quickly orient themselves in the given topic. At the same time, the texts aim to streamline cooperation between students and teachers in lectures and practical exercises, emphasizing the important structures of individual cell and tissue types in light microscope images, which is the primary goal and task of general histology.

Students can find here the basic principles of learning, principles of how to preserve knowledge, how to concentrate without wasting time, how not to stress before a test or exam and many other practical tips. By acquiring simple knowledge, students will be able to learn effectively with the principles of brain-compatible learning in a way that they will acquire as much information as possible in the shortest period of time with maximum retention; that is minimal forgetting.

The book can serve not only as a theoretical background, but also as a practical tool for mastering university education.

The goal was to create a balanced material that would be an interesting source not only for first-year university students, but also for students of higher years and for everyone with a need of lifelong learning.

The Book of Abstracts of the international conference XLVII Days of Medical Biophysics presents a collection of contributions submitted by the conference participants, showcasing original results of their scientific, research, and educational activities in the fields of clinical biophysics and medical informatics. The volume contains 35 abstracts of scientific lectures, including doctoral presentations, and 18 abstracts of poster contributions. The educational papers address current trends in the application of artificial intelligence and simulation‑based medicine in the modernization of teaching, the integration of biophysics with preclinical and clinical disciplines, and pedagogical principles in medical metrology. The scientific contributions focus on the possibilities of photodynamic therapy, the clinical applicability of laser‑ and ultrasound‑based medical technologies, advanced MRI imaging methods, biosignal acquisition and analysis, clinical proteomics, the use of electron microscopy in tissue studies, novel materials, tissue engineering, and related research areas.
