Vedecký recenzovaný časopis Edukácia je zameraný na problematiku vzdelávania a výchovy v oblasti základného, stredného a vysokého školstva. Zreteľ kladie na súčasný stav a perspektívy edukačnej praxe, aktuálne aspekty pregraduálnej prípravy učiteľov, sociálnej pedagogiky, špeciálnej pedagogiky, ako aj pedagogické a psychologické aspekty výchovy v základných výchovných inštitúciách z pohľadu širokej pedagogickej verejnosti. Je určený vedeckým pracovníkom, mladým vysokoškolským učiteľom, doktorandom, ako aj odborným a pedagogickým pracovníkom s cieľom prezentovať trendy v edukácii a vyvolať diskusiu k aktuálnym otázkam prezentovaných oblastí výchovy a vzdelávania.

Ciele vedeckého časopisu Edukácia:

• prezentovať súčasné postavenie a funkciu pedagóga v edukačnej praxi a jeho perspektívy,

• prezentovať aktuálne otázky vzdelávania a výchovy z pohľadu učiteľov, sociálnych pedagógov, špeciálnych pedagógov a psychológov,

• prezentovať inovácie v edukačnej praxi; analyzovať stav a problémy prepájania teórie a praxe výchovy a vzdelávania vo vzťahu k moderným vyučovacím koncepciám,

• prezentovať aktuálne trendy v pregraduálnej príprave pedagógov,

• prezentovať výsledky empirických výskumov z oblasti pedagogiky, sociálnej pedagogiky, špeciálnej pedagogiky a psychológie v prostredí rodiny, školy a mimoškolských výchovných inštitúcií.

Medzinárodná vedecká konferencia je zameraná na problematiku vzdelávania a výchovy v oblasti základného, stredného a vysokého školstva a školských zariadení z pohľadu pedagóga. Zreteľ kladie na perspektívy pedagóga 21. storočia v edukačnej praxi a inovatívne aspekty pregraduálnej prípravy pedagógov. Je určená vedeckým pracovníkom, mladým vysokoškolským učiteľom, doktorandom s cieľom prezentovať učiteľa v súčasnej perspektíve a vyvolať diskusiu k aktuálnym otázkam prezentovaných oblastí výchovy a vzdelávania v kontexte súčasnej situácie v školstve.

Ciele konferencie:

• prezentovať a analyzovať možnosti rozvoja budúcich učiteľov a učiteľov v praxi s ohľadom na zdroje a nástroje podpory ich sebavzdelávania,
• prezentovať a analyzovať možnosti rozvoja budúcich učiteľov a učiteľov v praxi cez kultúru školy reagujúcu na potreby všetkých aktérov vzdelávania,
• prezentovať a analyzovať formovanie digitálnych zručností učiteľov a modifikovania výučby smerom k špecifikám žiakov,
• prezentovať a analyzovať využívanie umelej inteligencie v edukácii z didaktického a etického aspektu,
• prezentovať a analyzovať najnovšie edukačné trendy vo výučbe vychádzajúce z paradigmy didaktického konštruktivizmu,
• prezentovať a analyzovať možnosti aktualizácie profesijných kompetencií učiteľov cez učenie sa skúsenosťou a riešenie komplexných edukačných problémov.

„Implementation of Digital Transformation in Education from the Perspective of NCDTV is the first study within the National Project on Digital Transformation of Education and Schools. It provides a comprehensive view of the changes that education faces in the era of the digital revolution, combining the perspective of education stakeholders – students, teachers, school leadership, and school digital coordinators – with the analysis of key topics such as artificial intelligence, learning environments, cyber and information security, digital well-being, and prevention. The study emphasizes that successful digital transformation requires a comprehensive approach to school functioning, systematic strengthening of the sense of urgency for change, and synergistic communication among all stakeholders. Equally important is the support of educational staff at all levels, especially digital coordinators, school leadership, and teachers. Regular collection of high-quality data on the current state of schools and the system as a whole, as well as targeted support for talents in mathematics and computer science, are also essential. The study thus provides a framework for digital transformation in education that is strategically managed, pedagogically grounded, and oriented toward the needs of all stakeholders.

The research monograph is focused on studying the effectiveness of the Unplugged prevention program conducted at primary schools across Slovakia.

Using two large datasets with repeated measures, the monograph contributes to research knowledge about substance use prevention. The authors studied protective and risk factors, developmental trends of smoking and alcohol consumption as well as the effectiveness of the Unplugged prevention program – its effect on psychological and behavioural indicators of health-related behaviour.

Considering the complexity of the analyses on two datasets with 5 waves of data, each chapter is presented as a separate research study. The findings serve as a basis for recommendations for parents and teachers and also for school management at primary schools that support effective school policy aimed at the prevention and promotion of the health in schoolchildren.

The issue of the effective and professional use of experiential pedagogy tools and their positive impact on classroom climate is the subject of a scientific monograph.

The monograph systematizes theoretical scientific knowledge about experiential pedagogy, classroom climate, and the current state of pre-graduate preparation of future teachers. Based on the implementation of research (a pedagogical experiment), it analyzes the importance of effective preparation of future teachers in relation to the professional use of experiential pedagogy tools and their impact on classroom climate.

The scientific-professional journal Edukácia focuses on issues of education and upbringing in the fields of primary, secondary, and higher education.

It emphasizes the current state and perspectives of educational practice, contemporary aspects of pre-service teacher training, social pedagogy, special pedagogy, as well as pedagogical and psychological aspects of upbringing in basic educational institutions from the perspective of the broader educational community.

It is intended for researchers, young university lecturers, doctoral students, and professional and pedagogical staff, with the aim of presenting trends in education and stimulating discussion on current issues in the presented areas of upbringing and education.

Zuzana Boberová

The aim of this university textbook is primarily to provide a comprehensive and systematic overview of the basic legislative documents related to pedagogical activities and the educational work of teachers in school practice. The textbook is primarily intended for students of academic teacher training programs, as well as recent graduates of teacher education who are beginning their teaching careers.

This publication is unique in that it does not focus on specific legislative documents and their descriptions, but rather presents the meaning and wording of various legislative documents in the context of key concepts of educational activities and typical school situations. The publication does not include the full text of cited paragraphs from laws, decrees, and ministerial guidelines, but only excerpts that are relevant to the focus and needs of the textbook.

In this way, we aim to help teacher training students and beginning teachers orient themselves regarding their rights and responsibilities as defined and delineated by school legislation, and especially to help them understand the basic legislative requirements placed on every teacher in school practice. This includes participation in the preparation of the school educational program, understanding the professional development of teachers, student assessment, approaches to students with special needs, as well as handling common school situations such as disciplinary measures, school accidents, ski training, or school events.

Given the scope of these areas, we have divided the topics into two publications according to their thematic focus.

The university textbook "Pregraduate Teacher Preparation – Organization of Pedagogical Practice at UPJŠ" reflects the changes that have occurred in the pregraduate preparation of students of academic subject teaching in connection with the comprehensive accreditation in 2015. It is intended for students of the second level of university studies in the study programs of Academic Subject Teaching at the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science at UPJŠ in Košice. The aim of the university textbook is to provide theoretical foundations and methodological guidelines for the organization of all types of pedagogical practice carried out under the conditions of UPJŠ.

Preparation for the teaching profession has both theoretical and practical components. While theoretical academic preparation focuses on acquiring and developing knowledge, skills, and competencies in pedagogy, psychology, and the scientific disciplines of the teaching subjects, practical professional preparation is oriented towards preparing for the actual performance of the profession, i.e., the didactic aspect of the teaching process. A significant part of the practical preparation for the teaching profession is realized within the subject of pedagogical practice, which at UPJŠ takes four forms/levels – Observational pedagogical-psychological practice, Ongoing teaching practice, Continuous teaching practice I, and Continuous teaching practice II.
