University textbook Lingua Latina – Exercise Book for Historians is a parallel study material to the textbook Lingua Latina – Cursus Communis. It is designed for practicing grammar at home. The content of the exercises corresponds to the focus of the individual lessons in the mentioned textbook, both in terms of the covered grammatical phenomena and vocabulary. For this reason, only vocabulary not covered in the textbook's lessons is included in the exercises.

The Latin-Slovak dictionary at the end of the exercise book contains all the vocabulary from both the exercise book and the textbook. The Slovak-Latin dictionary includes the vocabulary from exercises that require translation into Latin. The vocabulary in this exercise book is oriented towards the needs of history students and, given the selection of source materials, also includes non-classical lexicon or non-classical meanings of classical words (this lexicon is marked with the symbol *).

The exercise book includes a key that allows students to directly verify the correctness of their work. The textbook Lingua Latina – Exercise Book for Historians is available electronically in PDF format. As part of the teaching program, online tests available on the KKF FF UPJŠ website (https://www.upjs.sk/filozoficka-fakulta/katedra-klasickejfilologie/katedra/) also serve to practice the covered material.

II.časť: Komparácia, klasifikácia a generalizácia spoločných prvkov činnosti

Cieľom monografie bolo analyzovať pedagogické možnosti výchovných systémov detských a mládežníckych organizácií s dôrazom na tie, ktoré sa zameriavajú na vekovú kategóriu detí do 15 rokov. Východiskom bol rozbor aktuálneho stavu teórie a praxe detskej a mládežníckej organizácie so snahou opísať prevládajúce trendy v jej vývine a činnosti. Táto publikácia úzko nadväzuje na predchádzajúcu monografiu (Juščák, J. – Darák, M.: 2015), kde sme spracovali podľa jednotnej metodiky a s využitím všeobecne akceptovanej pedagogickej terminológie zhromaždené dostupné materiály o výchovných systémoch vybraných (najreprezentatívnejších) detských a mládežníckych organizácií v SR. Nasledujúcou komparáciou získaných empirických dát o výchovných systémoch sme sa snažili dospieť k identifikácii ich podobných (rovnakých) i špecifických (odlišných) prvkov ako základu na stanovenie kategorizačných kritérií ich klasifikácie. Vyústením celej našej snahy bol pokus o charakteristiku detskej organizácie ako výchovnej inštitúcie s opisom jej charakteristických znakov, funkcií, cieľov, obsahu, zásad a metodiky výchovy.

Overview of the Issue and Meta-Analysis of Conducted Research.

The publication focuses on two key constructs – time perspective and goal achievement. After describing both constructs, the authors focused on potential connections that can be found at multiple levels of analysis. For the purpose of empirical verification, they conducted a small-scale meta-analysis synthesizing results across eleven studies. The obtained results highlighted the role of time perspective in selected aspects of goal achievement. The publication is intended to serve as a catalyst for further consideration of the issue, thereby encouraging research aimed at verifying how the acquired knowledge can be expanded to improve the quality of our daily lives in the context of cultivating our approach to time.

The textbook "Literary Story as a Tool for Moral Education" aims to contribute to the preparation of future teachers of ethical education, as well as students from other fields, particularly in the humanities. It focuses on an area that remains trivialized and marginalized—gender-sensitive education and training. The author operates under the assumption that applying a gender-sensitive approach in education requires an understanding of what a gender perspective entails.

Experience from interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, along with teaching experiences where ethical questions and themes—such as those related to gender, gender equality, gender justice, and gender relations—are presented, taught, and explored through various media or texts (not only traditional scientific and professional ones but also artistic, especially literary), inspired the author to present such an approach in a relatively coherent form.

This includes summarizing existing knowledge and experiences on the topic so that they can serve as a suitable starting point for enhancing the competencies of future teachers (not only) in ethical education when applying a gender-sensitive approach in education and teaching issues related to gender and gender relations in the context of applied ethics and ethical education.

When studying the Renaissance, researchers utilize various critical and core terms and concepts which it is necessary to characterize. However, many such points, notably the following, are problematic: The relationship between the Renaissance and the antiquity; The connection with the Middle Ages; The transformation to Mannerism and Baroque; Realism and Secularism in Renaissance art; The individualism of the Renaissance artist; The reasons for the creation of Renaissance art in Italy, its determinants and stimulators; Distinguishing between the analysis of the genesis of the Renaissance and the analysis of the creation of the period’s art generally; Regional differences in Italy and their impact on the art; Chronological limits of the Renaissance and its milestones; The terms “Medieval Ages” and “Early Modern Period”; The impact, and its extent, of the artistic influences of the Byzantine, Gothic and Romanesque arts on the Renaissance. The term “Renaissance” itself, its content and existence, are also the subject of the discussion with students, alongside learning how such terms and definitions came about and continue to evolve, how they attain their content, how this content morphs in the historical discourse, what academical pluralism and freedom of thinking look like in the discourse led by historians, what the differences are between scientists and schools of thought on the same subject and how it is possible that they are so numerous. The students will come to recognize the leading scholars in the field, and follow their arguments and methodological approaches. They shall be invited to closely trace and scrutinize the logic which those historians use in building their argumentation. It shall be seen that the freedom to create terms, concepts and new definitions cannot stand on an ignorance of the (historical) facts, as becomes clear with expanding knowledge of those historical facts, the variability of their interpretation growing in tandem. This approach, actually used across the whole range of seminars and lectures, shall drive discussion on the topics covered, students being invited to formulate their own theses and antitheses.

The goal of the monograph is to highlight the significant problem of interpreting the Socratic question, as its approach represents a method of interpreting the history of philosophy, specifically in our case, the interpretation of Socrates and Plato. The Socratic question can be grasped in diametrically different ways, as shown by Patočka and Nietzsche, among others. The former aligns with Socrates and innovatively updates his question for the present. The latter is ambivalent towards Socrates but ultimately labels him a decadent.

In the first part of the monograph, Patočka's characterization of human existence is presented, which he formulates as unified and morally firm. Patočka interprets the Socratic question as care for the soul, for its well-being, without deriving the concept of good from something positively defined but from the whole world, which can only be defined negatively due to its constant openness. This sphere of negativity is for Patočka something immensely positive because transcendence lifts humans from relative goods to the overall meaning, making them morally capable in the true sense. The good, i.e., the requirement for a surge, for a turn of humans from the world of things to the whole world, is for him a program that Socrates first formulated through his knowing ignorance.

The second part of the work is dedicated to Nietzsche's concept based on the non-unified nature of human existence, which is not derived from the whole world or overall meaning but from situational meaning. Nietzsche strives to prove that in every situation, human existence is exposed to two opposing perspectives, between which it is impossible to decide which is correct. He concludes that both perspectives are equally valid and mutually conditioned, meaning that the opposite of good, what threatens meaning, is a beneficial condition for situational meaning. He labels this level as immoral, as a sphere where human existence creates meaning outside the thinking of good and evil in opposition.

The conclusion of the work is open because, as it turns out, we do not have a common denominator that could decide on the correctness of one or the other concept. Precisely in this lies the fact that the Socratic question remains a serious philosophical problem even today.

V priebehu uplynulých dvoch desaťročí sa zvýšil záujem psychológov a problematiku sebaregulácie a sebakontroly. Pripravená publikácia je v istom zmysle súčasťou tohto procesu. Základom pre jej prípravu bola konferencia „Psychologické aspekty sebaregulácie a jej kontexty“, ktorá sa konala v dňoch 14. a 15. októbra 2010 v Košiciach. Jej organizátormi boli Katedra psychológie a Katedra pedagogickej psychológie a psychológie zdravia Filozofickej fakulty Univerzity P. J. Šafárika. Vydanie zborníka vedeckých prác s rovnakým názvom je naplnením zámeru uverejniť ústne prezentácie a postery a rozšírenej podobe. Tematicky sú príspevky zaradené do troch častí, ktoré sú označené ako „Sebakontrola a jej kontexty“, „Zvládanie problémových situácií“ a „Osobnosť a rizikové správanie“.

Vydanie zborníka a konferencia, na základe ktorej bol zborník pripravený, boli podporené grantovou agentúrou MŠ a SAV VEGA ako súčasť riešenia projektov 1/0785/09 Osobné a situačné faktory sebakontroly a 1/0310/10 Sociálnopsychologické determinanty zdravého psychosociálneho vývinu a realizácie vývinového potenciálu nadaných a znevýhodnených detí a adolescentov.

The scientific monograph focuses on the issue of adolescent risk behaviors on the internet in the form of its problematic use in the context of valid theories and practices of a social work. Text of the monograph is divided into four parts. The first part focuses on the multidisciplinary definition of a risk behavior on the internet. It offers an up-to-date literary overview of the issue through the latest, especially foreign, theoretical knowledge. The second part focuses on the problematic use of the internet in contexts of valid origins of the social work. The third part focuses on the presentation of the most important psychosocial factors correlating with the problematic internet use in the adolescent´s group. The theoretical knowledge is supplemented by the authors research into the present factors. The final part is application-oriented and focuses on the possibilities that the social work offers at the praxis level to prevent and solve the presented problems.

The process of achieving goals is one that has traditionally received significant attention in psychology. This attention is not only directed by researchers focused on motivation, with which the process of achieving goals is classically associated, but also from a wide range of other areas (e.g., emotions, personality). One aspect of goal-directed behavior that has received minimal, if not virtually no, attention is decision-making.

It is surprising to realize that various aspects of decision-making are present throughout the entire process of achieving goals - from evaluating different aspects of multiple alternative goals, through selecting among them, deciding on resource allocation (effort, time, finances, relationships...), continuously monitoring progress, to evaluating the outcome and its impact on future goal-directed behavior.

Even more surprising is that decision-making is directly addressed by one of the dominant theories explaining goal-directed behavior - the theory of mental action phases (mindset theory of action phases; Gollwitzer 1999, 2012). This theory distinguishes the pre-decisional and post-decisional phases as the first two phases of this behavior, separated precisely by the decision about which goal to pursue.

So záujmom som si prečítal návrh na znovuvydanie monografie prof. PhDr. Jána Hvozdíka, DrSc., Základy školskej psychológie. Bolo pre mňa cťou byť v redakčnej rade nového vydania učebnice. Znovuvydanie učebnice sa deje v čase, keď ako sa zdá, školská psychológia prežíva renesanciu svojho uplatňovania. Nie je to náhodou, pretože profesorova koncepcia školskej psychológie ako teoreticko-aplikovanej a integrovanej psychologickej disciplíny, ktorá sa usiluje nielen priamo, ale aj nepriamo, to znamená pedagogickou praxou učiteľov, ovplyvniť konkrétne situácie výchovno-vzdelávacej praxe v školskom prostredí. Zo svojej strany oceňujem aj to, že v učebnici sa venuje pozornosť stále aktuálnemu samoučeniu, to znamená autodidaktike žiakov a študentov. Školská psychológia sa stala profilovým predmetom, v rámci ktorého sa realizujú aj jej špecializácie. Treba pripomenúť skutočnosť, že v podmienkach totality profesor nebol členom KSS a napriek tomu má veľkú zásluhu na budovaní školského poradenstva nielen v teórii, ale aj v praxi, čo vzbudzuje úctu a obdiv. Znovuvydanie učebnice nie je jeho ospravedlňovaním, ale vyzdvihovaním jeho pozitív.

The monograph theoretically analyzes the virtual environment and its aspects, offers insight into the identity of the child in the virtual environment, the necessity of social support and the diversity of social relationships in the real world and virtual reality. Furthermore, it contains the fundamental training program designed to minimize the risks of the virtual reality, because adolescents are often exposed to risks uncontrollably. For that reason it focuses on adolescent and empowering optimal self-image, as well as creating and maintaining real social networks. The set of experiential-educational activities is conceptually divided into two main areas. The first one is content-focused on the adolescent, his/her psychological capability including opinions, attitudes, emotions, competences, and self-reflection. The second one focuses on interpersonal real and virtual relationships, the recognition of the advantages and disadvantages of internet communication and face-to-face interaction, and last but not least for more optimal use of the Internet and preference for real social interaction.

Problematika reedukácie a resocializácie nie je novým, ale o to naliehavejším problémom, o čo viac rastú rôzne druhy závislostí, čo do rozsahu aj obsahu. Dá sa povedať, že uvedená problematika predstavuje jednu z najústrednejších problematík sociálnej práce v jeho teoretických východiskách aj praktických kontextoch. To bol aj hlavný dôvod výberu tejto problematiky ako ústrednej myšlienky 5. ročníka Košických dní sociálnej práce, ktorý bol už šiestym pokračovaním stretávania odbornej komunity k riešeniu sociálnych problémov, ktoré v súčasnosti trápia našu spoločnosť. Uvedený zborník predstavuje takmer 3 desiatky príspevkov od viac ako dvadsiatky autorov a autoriek zo Slovenska, ale aj Poľska a Českej republiky. Obsah príspevkov sa zaoberá okrem teoretických východísk a názorov na problematiku resocializácie a reedukácie, aj samotnými následkami daných procesov v rôznych klientskych sociálne rizikových skupinách – či už ide o závislých, agresívnych, dlhodobo chorých, trestaných, rozvedených, šikanovaných a mobbingovaných, kyberšikanovaných...atď. Verím, že takýto široký diapazón príspevkov obohatí všetkých tých, ktorí pracujú a študujú v teoretickej, výskumnej, ale aj praktickej rovine sociálnej práce.

Vedecká monografia Kozmológia čarodejných príbehov (ľudová rozprávka medzi kultúrou a umením) je pôvodnou prácou syntetizujúcou výskum o kozmologických štruktúrach archaických epických žánrov v interdisciplinárnom dialógu medzi literárnou vedou a kultúrnou antropológiou. Výskumne sa sústredíme najmä na ľudovú čarodejnú rozprávku, ktorá sa vždy dotýka základnej ontologickej problematiky, vytvára modelový a poetizovaný obraz sveta; predstavuje neteistickú formu hrdinskej kozmológie, ukotvenú v gnómickom časopriestorovom rámci. Pri jej výskume kombinujeme synchrónnu systémovú interpretáciu semiotických rovín s diachrónnou analýzou vývoja kultúr. Z nášho výskumu vyplýva, že základné konflikty medzi symbolickými formami čarodejných príbehov, tak ako ich poznáme z folklórneho prostredia, vykryštalizovali v epoche šírenia sa prvých historických národov ako dôsledok konfrontácie odlišných kultúrnych komplexov.
