Třetí vydání úspěšné publikace bylo rozšířeno o aktuální společenská témata, která přinesl vývoj v posledních letech. Vyžádal si je rostoucí zájem odborné i širší veřejnosti o problematiku nežádoucích jevů. Aktualizována jsou témata sociálněpatologických jevů souvisejících s rodinou a agresivitou. Nově jsou zařazeny kapitoly týkající se nových typů závislostí (na sociálních sítích, technologiích) a zneužívání látek nezpůsobujících závislosti (vitaminy, steroidy, hormony, laxativa). Pozornost je upřena na faktory vyvolávající rozvoj těchto sociálněpatologických jevů, zejména na jejich vazbu na rodinné prostředí, a dále na možnosti jejich řešení.

Publikace bude přínosná při studiu problematiky sociálněpatologických jevů jak pro odborníky a specialisty, tak pro studenty a další případné zájemce. Mohou ji využít i pracovníci, kteří se na řešení sociálnědeviantních a patologických jevů již v praxi podílejí, a specialisté na vědeckých pracovištích. Je ale též určena vysokoškolským studentům, kteří se připravují na práci v tzv. pomáhajících profesích, tedy budoucím vychovatelům, sociálním pracovníkům, terapeutům, etopedům, speciálním pedagogům, a studentům učitelských a zdravotnických oborů. Vzhledem ke společenskému zájmu o projednávaná témata poslouží i dalším zájemcům z řad širší veřejnosti.

Behavior, in the slovak language expressed as an intention, belongs to basic mental processes of every individual. In this work I consider it as the basic component of an individual having two sides, outer- and inner side. I present it in the scheme No. 2.

The problem of behavior can not be fully covered, although there is a lot of writing, discussing and experimenting by ancient time.

The work may offer only few comments, approaching maily disorders of behavior. I present the original explanation of these disorders, dividing them on primary and derived ones. Primary disorders create the core of the disorder, derived disorders create a component of other disorders.

My classification of primary disorders is as follows:

  1. age dependent disorders of behavior
  2. disorders in the dynamical structure and in phases of behavior
  3. integrative disorders of behavior, disorders of the will, which is the sign of the developed behavior of the individual.

The work is addresses to everone who is interested in his/her owm behavior, but especially for the Medical faculty and psychiatrists, for students of all our faculties.

It is impossible to be in contact with a person-centered approach and not be influenced by it. Carl Random Rogers was and is still perceived as one of the most influential psychologists of the 20th century (Cook, et al., 2009).

He was the first psychologist to be awarded twice by the American Psychological Association during his lifetime; in 1957 for his contributions to psychotherapy research and in 1973 for distinguished professional contributions. He developed his own psychotherapeutic approach, client-centered therapy, where unlike existing psychotherapeutic approaches, the healing power lies in the relationship between the client and the therapist, not in the applied method.

Rogers and his colleagues were the first to record, transcribe, and publish complete cases of therapeutic conversations and initiated systematic research in the field of psychotherapy. By using the term client instead of patient and seeking sources of change within the person, he created a non-medical model of help as part of the helping professions (Capuzzi, Gross, 2001). The self-theory created by Rogers is a theory that is included in many contemporary psychology texts (Cloninger, 2003; Feist, Feist, 2001; Ryckman, 2004).

Overview of the Issue and Meta-Analysis of Conducted Research.

The publication focuses on two key constructs – time perspective and goal achievement. After describing both constructs, the authors focused on potential connections that can be found at multiple levels of analysis. For the purpose of empirical verification, they conducted a small-scale meta-analysis synthesizing results across eleven studies. The obtained results highlighted the role of time perspective in selected aspects of goal achievement. The publication is intended to serve as a catalyst for further consideration of the issue, thereby encouraging research aimed at verifying how the acquired knowledge can be expanded to improve the quality of our daily lives in the context of cultivating our approach to time.

The aim of this publication is to present the latest findings of the international study Health Behavior in School-aged Children (HBSC), regarding the health and health-related behavior of school-aged children in Slovakia.After four years, it again brings information on various topics covering physical and mental health, nutritional behavior, leisure-time activities, use of psychoactive substances, within social environment of school-aged children, including family, school and peers. The publication also presents newfindings connected to objectively measured physical fitness of these children. Finally, data about school-aged children with special educational needs are also presented.The findings play an important role in understanding the needs of the new generation of adolescents and are an important source of information for all those who work with them, not only professionals but also parents.Last but not least, they are also beneficial for all stakeholders and institutions who participate in the preparing of policies and strategies focused on supporting the health of school-aged children.
