Třetí vydání úspěšné publikace bylo rozšířeno o aktuální společenská témata, která přinesl vývoj v posledních letech. Vyžádal si je rostoucí zájem odborné i širší veřejnosti o problematiku nežádoucích jevů. Aktualizována jsou témata sociálněpatologických jevů souvisejících s rodinou a agresivitou. Nově jsou zařazeny kapitoly týkající se nových typů závislostí (na sociálních sítích, technologiích) a zneužívání látek nezpůsobujících závislosti (vitaminy, steroidy, hormony, laxativa). Pozornost je upřena na faktory vyvolávající rozvoj těchto sociálněpatologických jevů, zejména na jejich vazbu na rodinné prostředí, a dále na možnosti jejich řešení.

Publikace bude přínosná při studiu problematiky sociálněpatologických jevů jak pro odborníky a specialisty, tak pro studenty a další případné zájemce. Mohou ji využít i pracovníci, kteří se na řešení sociálnědeviantních a patologických jevů již v praxi podílejí, a specialisté na vědeckých pracovištích. Je ale též určena vysokoškolským studentům, kteří se připravují na práci v tzv. pomáhajících profesích, tedy budoucím vychovatelům, sociálním pracovníkům, terapeutům, etopedům, speciálním pedagogům, a studentům učitelských a zdravotnických oborů. Vzhledem ke společenskému zájmu o projednávaná témata poslouží i dalším zájemcům z řad širší veřejnosti.

Magnetic nanoparticles are extremely interesting magnetic objects that still hide much that is undiscovered, both because of their physical properties and because of their diverse applications. Iron nanoparticles, or iron oxides, are used in medical diagnostics for magnetic resonance imaging, in the treatment of hyperthermia, and an important application is the use of magnetic particles for targeted drug delivery.

The textbook "Magnetic Nanoparticles: Nanomagnetism, Preparation and Advanced Applications" is intended primarily for students of the Master's programme in Physics and students of related disciplines at universities and faculties with a physical, chemical, metallurgical and biophysical focus. The motivation for writing this textbook was to develop study material that would contribute to improving the quality of teaching in the profile subject Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology at the Institute of Physical, Faculty of Sciences, UPJŠ, in the Master's programme Condensed Matter Physics, as well as in the profile subject in the PhD programme Advanced Materials.

The university textbook is divided into eight chapters. The first and second chapters are devoted to basic information about magnetism, the origin of nanomagnetism in nanoparticles and surface phenomena. The third and fourth chapters are devoted to nanomagnetism in nanoparticle systems. The fifth chapter describes in detail individual protocols for investigating the phenomenon of superparamagnetism and the phenomenon of superspin glass using the SQUID device. The sixth chapter describes individual procedures for the preparation of magnetic nanoparticles and the seventh chapter describes individual experimental techniques for the study of magnetic nanoparticles. The final eighth chapter describes the applications of nanoparticles in biomedicine.

During the writing of this textbook, the chapters were prepared using the foreign-language specialist literature listed in the recommended reading list.

Crystallography deals with discerning the arrangement and bonding of atoms in crystalline solids. Almost immediately after their discovery, X-rays began to be used to study the internal structure of substances.

The first chapter of this textbook deals with the basic concepts of crystallography. At the beginning, crystalline solids are characterized. In the next section, the basic types of bonds and their characteristics are briefly presented. The main subject of this chapter is the interpretation of basic concepts such as symmetry operations, translational periodicity, grid, elementary cell. Spatial lattices and crystal systems are presented. At the end of this chapter, attention is paid to the description of individual types of defects in crystal structures. In the second chapter, the Bohr model of the hydrogen atom is presented. Individual quantum numbers and their meaning are given.

Next, energy levels and allowed transitions within an atom with multiple electrons are described. The second chapter concludes with the characterization of the basic absorption and emission processes. The third chapter is devoted to the production of X-ray radiation and its properties. Sources of X-ray radiation and a description of their operation are presented.

Interaction of X-ray radiation with matter, absorption and detection of X-ray radiation are the subject of the last part of this chapter.

The textbook "The Pharmaceutical Compounding Propedeutics for Medical Fields" provides a systematic and comprehensive overview in the field of drug prescription, which is a very important part of pharmacology education for medical and pharmaceutical faculties. In addition to prescribing prescription drugs it also addresses the prescription of dietary foods and medical devices. A significant part of the text is dedicated to the prescription of compounded (extemporaneous) preparations which we consider irreplaceable in many fields of medicine including e. g. paediatrics or dermatology enabling personalized pharmacotherapy.

Importantly, the authors have taken into account recent changes in legislation of the Slovak Republic, including the gradual acceptance of the European Pharmacopoeia since 1995 and the introduction of generic prescription in 2011.

The book consists of the general and special section including 19 pictures, 13 tables and 11 supplements. The great contribution of the publication are abundant examples, quiz questions and tasks which help reader to better understand the particular theoretical basis. The textbook is primary intended for the student of medical and pharmaceutical faculties but it also serves as a great source of information in postgradual education of physicians and pharmacists.

Vysokoškolská učebnica Nehojace sa rany je komplexným spracovaním manažmentu rán. Problematika je logicky a systematicky rozčlenená do desiatich kapitol. Prvá až štvrtá kapitola sú obsahovo orientované na východiská k problematike ošetrovania rán – príčiny a súvisiacie faktory ich vzniku, diagnostika, hojenie a posudzovanie rany s využitím vybraných klasifikačných nástrojov. Predkladaná vysokoškolská učebnica sa bude využívať v pregraduálnom a postgraduálnom profesionálnom vzdelávaní sestier, pôrodných asistentiek a lekárov, v klinickej praxi nemocníc, agentúrach domácej ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti, domovoch sociálnych služieb, ošetrovateľských domoch, hospicoch a i.

Predložené učebné texty obsahujú vybrané témy z teórie štátu, štátovedy, ústavného práva a teórie práva, v takom rozsahu a skladbe, aby poskytovali dostatok informácii študentom pre absolvovanie povinného študijného predmetu Teória štátu a práva, a súčasne vytvorili solídny základ propedeutického charakteru pre nadväzujúce právne študijné predmety.
Autori pri tvorbe učebných textov rešpektovali zaradenie študijného programu „európska verejná správa“ do študijného odboru verejná politika a verejná správa, čo znamená, že ide o neprávnický študijný program a študijný predmet, pre ktorý je učebný text určený, je zaradený do prvého semestra. Študijný program európska verejná správa je naviac špecifický tým, že nadväzujúce právne študijné predmety sa zameriavajú najmä na poznávanie inštitucionálneho fungovania Európskej únie, jej jednotlivých orgánov a práva Európskej únie. Predkladané učebné texty by mali možnú absenciu poznatkov zo slovenského právneho poriadku v nevyhnutnej miere doplniť.

University textbook „Cursus Latinus - textbook“ is intended for students of the study program Latin language and literature. It is divided into „Introduction“ and 37 lessons. The content of lessons is morphology, sentence syntax and selected phenomena of case syntax of the Latin language. Each of the lessons contains a grammatical explanation, followed by sentences designed to demonstrate the forms of grammatical phenomena and the required vocabulary (Dictionary). Using these examples, students learn the basic principles of translation from Latin into Slovak and from Slovak into Latin. The textbook also includes a Latin-Slovak dictionary containing the entire vocabulary used in the textbook. The „Cursus Latinus - textbook“ is intended for the interpretation of grammar and the acquisition of grammatical phenomena of the Latin language under the guidance of the teacher. A parallel exercise book (Cursus Latinus – exercise book) is used to practice Latin grammar at home. The exercise book includes a key to the exercises and a Latin-Slovak dictionary containing vocabulary from the textbook and the exercise book. Učebné texty Psychológia v medicíne prezentujú základné poznatky o správaní sa a prežívaní človeka nielen v chorobe, približujú psychodiagnostické postupy a psychoterapeutickú liečbu pacientov. Podstatnou súčasťou práce je kapitola, ktorá pojednáva o lekárskej psychológii. Táto časť práce poukazuje na význam komunikácie a interakcie medzi lekárom a pacientom a nutnosť zohľadnenia významných vzťahových aspektov medzi nimi. Kapitola sa ďalej venuje psychosomatickému rozmeru vybraných chorôb v kontexte rôznych medicínskych odborov. Zároveň je analyzovaná psychologická problematika pacientov s telesným, zmyslovým postihnutím a duševne zaostalých osôb, záver učebnice predstavuje opis špecifík práce s detským pacientom. Pomocou týchto učebných textov si študenti medicíny majú osvojiť základné psychologické poznatky, získať vedomosti o efektívnej komunikácii s pacientmi, príbuznými a ostatným zdravotníckym personálom, tvorivo pristupovať k riešeniu problémov pri práci. Zároveň práca zdôrazňuje potrebu duševnej hygieny a starostlivosti o seba, ktorá je v práci lekára nevyhnutná.
