Je potrebné zdôrazniť, že otázky v samotnom prijímacom teste nemusia byť totožné s otázkami uvedenými v tejto publikácii.

The publication is intended for those interested in studying at UPJŠ in Košice, Faculty of Medicine in the field of general medicine and dentistry. It contains 1,500 model questions from biology, which are processed in accordance with the educational program at gymnasiums and which form the basis of written tests in entrance exams. However, the questions on the entrance exams may not exactly copy the questions in this publication. The answers to the questions are solved in the form of offered variant answers containing both correct and incorrect options, while the correct answers are given in the key at the end of the publication. This publication will give you the opportunity to verify the depth and scope of your knowledge of biology, which you have acquired during your secondary school studies, and at the same time facilitate your preparation for successfully passing the entrance exam. The authors have divided the issue into chapters, which will allow you to quickly find your way around and find out which area you need to focus more on in your studies. The aim of the presented publication is to enable every applicant who is seriously interested in studying at the Faculty of Medicine to prepare well for the admission process and, in case of acceptance, to have a good basis for studying the given field.

The surgical practice starts with detailed knowledge of anatomy. Even if anatomy of human body has not changed over the time, perfection and precision of surgical practice require precise knowledge of anatomical structures, their location, and topographical relationships. Everyone should be aware of the occurrence of possible variations as well. 

A prospective medical doctor should not rely on knowledge gained by studying models, schemes, and pictures, but should combine two types of learning: visual and didactic. Wide array of the visual learning development, considering vision alone, and a detailed and realistic approach to difficult access to structures of the human body are important precursors that create sufficient and quality knowledge needed for clinical practice and appropriate professional development. 

This publication maps all of the clinically significant and difficult approached areas of the head that are not normally prepared for practical exercises in anatomy because of the time and difficulties with the preparation. The colorful, detailed photodocumentation enriched by schemes and followed by procedure guide provides a view of structures until now only poorly documented. We sincerely hope that this monograph will fill the gap in medical literature offered in the market at present time.
