Učebnice ošetřovatelství zaměřená na problematiku gynekologie a porodnictví doplňuje řadu publikací pro ošetřovatelství v klinických oborech. Po prostudování budou studenti připraveni na splnění studijních požadavků v tomto předmětu.

Zaměřuje se na ošetřování nemocných a rodiček z pohledu sestry, s využitím ošetřovatelského procesu a jeho jednotlivých fází. Zahrnuje například problematiku vyšetřovacích metod v gynekologii a porodnictví, sexuálně přenosných nemocí, nádorů v gynekologii, akutních stavů, neplodnosti, inkontinence moči, vedení fyziologického porodu, patologického těhotenství a šestinedělí.

Publikace je doplněna obrazovou přílohou věnovanou nejen vyšetřovacím metodám a porodu, ale také bezpečnosti a poutání těhotných žen jako řidiček, či spolujezdkyň v automobilu.

The aim of this university textbook is to provide a systematically structured teaching text focused on research in health sciences and, at the same time, to offer a practical methodological manual for writing final theses intended for students of medical and non-medical fields of study. The first chapter introduces the topic, maps the historical development of research in medical and non-medical sciences, and explains the concept of evidence-based practice (EBP) in the context of research activities. It also highlights the importance of research for these fields and describes the individual steps, principles, and methodological procedures of scientific work. The second chapter focuses on the basic attributes of research in health sciences, with an emphasis on key definitions, basic research designs, the typology of scientific studies, and the possibilities for using the relevant methodologies. It also includes the interpretation and analytical processing of quantitative data, while the third chapter analogously elaborates on the qualitative research approach. The fourth chapter is devoted to the ethical aspects of scientific research. The fifth chapter focuses on the evaluation of research papers in terms of their quality, structure, content coherence, reliability, and validity. The final sixth chapter provides methodological guidelines for planning, implementing, and processing individual types of final theses, with the aim of offering students practical and clearly structured instructions for their preparation. The publication also includes questions, tasks, and exercises that supplement theoretical knowledge with practical examples. These cases are intended to develop students' ability to design research studies and methodologically correctly prepare final theses.

The textbook provides a clear view of the importance of respiratory care, with an emphasis on prevention and treatment procedures. The introductory chapters present the anatomical and physiological principles of respiratory function necessary for understanding further contexts of the issue. Methods for facilitating expectoration of mucus and foreign bodies are explained. Great emphasis is placed on correct procedures for humidifying and warming the inhaled mixture, including the basics of aerosol therapy. This is an issue that is particularly important in invasive, but also non-invasive methods of ventilation therapy. The work also contains more detailed physical justifications for the explained principles. From a practical perspective, the chapters that draw attention to frequent errors in the use of humidification and aerosol technologies are also important. The texts are supplemented with many illustrative original images and explanations.

The textbook is intended primarily for doctors, nurses and physiotherapists working in the fields of anaesthesiology and intensive care, emergency medicine, in all workplaces that are dedicated to the treatment and care of patients with respiratory problems, such as pneumology, internal medicine, surgical units treating patients in the postoperative period. Last but not least, it is also an excellent supplementary study material for medical students, nursing students and paramedics.

Publikace se zabývá problematikou cévních onemocnění z pohledu sestry, popsány jsou nejčastější patologie postihující tepenný a žilní systém. V knize je také odborná medicínská část, kam jsou zařazeny základní definice a patofyziologie, etiologie, klinický obraz, diagnostické postupy a algoritmy a v neposlední řadě také terapeutické postupy a intervence. Od této části se odvíjejí ošetřovatelské intervence a doporučení pro zdravotníky k poskytování odborné péče. Knihu využijí zejména nelékařští zdravotničtí pracovníci, kteří se v zařízeních ambulantní nebo lůžkové péče starají o pacienty s cévním postižením.
