Among students of single-discipline and interdisciplinary biology studies at faculties with a natural science focus, there often arises a problem in defining the scope of the curriculum when studying the subject of Human Anatomy. The presented study material aims to help students of non-medical scientific fields navigate the extensive anatomical terminology and to limit the amount of required anatomical terms to an optimum, so that alongside mastering Latin nomenclature, students still have sufficient capacity to memorize additional knowledge in the areas of systemic, comparative, developmental, and functional anatomy.

Emphasis on organizing individual anatomical terms into logical units simultaneously supports a hierarchical view of the architecture of the human body. The concept of medical ethics is interpreted as both applied and professional ethics. As a bioethical discipline, it consists of three normative parts: biogenesis, biotherapy, and thanatology. From an ethical perspective, medicine is part of clinical bioethics; however, at the current stage, “evidence-based ethics” is still lacking.

In the context of standardizing health care, there is an excessive development of certain components of bioethics (such as ethical codes and the concept of patient autonomy), but also a reduction, especially of its clinical component (such as communication, thanatology, euthanasia, dysthanasia, and futile treatment). Current legislative efforts are leading to a reduction in the rights of health care workers, particularly in terms of corporate autonomy.

The fundamental task of medical ethics is the cultivation of medical professionalism, which is defined as the professional alignment of expert, ethical, and legal reasoning, and as a starting point for thinking in terms of values, with reflection on the bioethical space in clinical and professional practice.

Since society declares health as its priority, this priority should positively influence the entire health care system, and its basic idea should be a health care system based on a humanistic ethical paradigm with social and professional application.

Druhé prepracované vydanie diela Základná farmakológia a farmakoterapia prináša najnovšie informácie o liečivách a z nich vyrábaných liekov, ako aj stručný výber niektorých farmakoterapeutických postupov, pri ktorých sa tieto lieky používajú.

Dielo je rozdelené do dvoch zväzkov, ktoré sa predávajú nerozdielne.
Prvá časť publikácie sa zaoberá farmakológiou jednotlivých liečebných skupín. Opisuje základné mechanizmy účinku liečiv, vrátane mechanizmov nimi vyvolaných nežiaducich účinkov. Objasňuje ich farmakokinetické vlastnosti a z toho vyplývajúce princípy pôsobenia a spolupôsobenia liečiv.

Druhá časť spája teoretické poznatky o liečivách prvej časti s možnosťami praktického využitia liečiv a ich kombinácií pri zvládaní akútnych patologických stavov alebo pri dlhodobom manažovaní chronických chorobných procesov.

Kniha je primárne určená študentom pregraduálneho stupňa medicínskeho a farmaceutického štúdia, ale ako užitočný zdroj informácií si svoje miesto nepochybne nájde v postgraduálnom vzdelávaní alebo v klinickej či lekárenskej praxi.

Publikácia výnimočná na slovenskom trhu, čo sa týka komplexnosti, ako aj detailnosti informácií o liečivách a liekoch, vzišla zo spolupráce viac ako 40 odborníkov medicínskeho aj farmaceutického zamerania. Ich poznatky a praktické skúsenosti sa pretavili do jednotlivých kapitol a sú nepochybne zárukou kvality tohto diela.

Choroby ústnych slizníc a jazyka boli značne dlhý čas doménou všeobecnej medicíny, najmä otorinolaryngológie, dermatológie, internej medicíny, onkológie a ďalších disciplín. Tento fakt do istej miery vysvetľuje rôznorodosť chorobných stavov, ktoré odbornej verejnosti autorský kolektív v tejto odbornej publikácii predkladá. Zosúladiť dokumentačný materiál z chorôb ústnych slizníc tak, aby slúžil na vzdelávacie účely, bola značne náročná práca. Dokumentačné prvky predkladané autorským kolektívom pochádzajú z takmer polstoročnej praxe odborníkov a špecialistov z bratislavských a košických stomatologických kliník. Jednotná klasifikácia chorôb ústnych slizníc nie je doteraz presne definovaná, sú však k dispozícii samostatné chorobné stavy, ktoré sa v klinickej praxi úspešne používajú. Rôzni autori preto vypracovali klasifikácie pre eflorescencie, ako sú ulcerácie, biele plochy, farebné zmeny a pod.

Kniha „DIABETICKÁ NOHA Z POHĽADU CIEVNEHO CHIRURGA“ obsahuje 14 kapitol. Pojednáva o syndróme diabetickej nohy z multidisciplinárneho pohľadu viacerých odborníkov: angiochirurga, diabetológa, chirurga, podiatra, röntgenológa, neurológa a algeziológa. Úvodné kapitoly majú charakter propedeutiky, čo má taktiež význam aj pre pregraduálnu výchovu. Nasledujúce kapitoly sa zaoberajú vznikom syndrómu, výskytom, jeho diagnostikou, terapeutickými postupmi, pridruženými postihnutiami neurologického charakteru, starostlivosťou podiatra a algeziológa pri pretrvávaní bolestí. Ďalšie časti sú vyhradené chirurgickej a endovaskulárnej liečbe tepien cestou cievneho chirurga a intervenčných angiológov. Nezabúdajúc na problematiku amputácií a správnu rehabilitáciu pacientov s diabetom.  V knihe nájdu poučenie cievni chirurgovia, angiológovia, všeobecní chirurgovia, diabetológovia, neurológia, röntgenológovia, podiatri  a všeobecní lekári.

Kniha je zdrojom najnovších teoretických i praktických informácií pre postgraduálnu výchovu vyššie spomenutých odborníkov.
