The monograph is focused on the issues of social (interpersonal) competency of mayors in Slovakia. The high level of coping with social competencies mayor is essential to achieving social behavior. The research found out the level of coping selected social competencies and of mayors in Slovakia. The research sample consisted of 787 mayors from all polled 2,753 mayors in Slovakia. To obtain empirical data questionnaire was used Mayor´s Interpersonal Competency Questionnaire (MICQ). There was found out the high level of coping the interpersonal competencies of mayors.
