University textbook prepared for the study of public law disciplines at the Faculty of public administration of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. This textbook can be used as study literature for student of Faculties of Laws and political science. In the first part of the textbook i tis subject of interpretation and analysis of the theory of the constitution. In this part, the author makes a specific regard of the dynamic develompent of parts of the constitutional theory, including in particular the substantive core of the Constitution and the judicial review of constitutionality. The second part of textbook has a comparative character. The author analyses the genesis and analysis of the current state of constitutional models of traditional democracies (USA, The United Kingdom, of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, France and Federal Republic of Germany), as states of the V4 group (Republic of Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic).
