Základy štátovedy

The university textbook prepared at the UPJŠ Faculty of Public Administration isprimarily intended as study literature.for teaching several study su jects at thisfaculty, but alsoat other UPJŠ faculties. Its content corresponds to comparable textbooks published in the lastdecade in the Slovak Republic. The introductory chapters (I State and II  Form of the state)are devotedto the de_finitionandcontentanalysisof basicpoliticalterms (state,statesovereignty, state mechanism, state authority, form of state, form of government, form of stateestablishment, state regime). In the III. chapter entitled Democratic State, the author analyzesin detail the essence of a democratic state, the basicforms o.f exercising power in a democraticstate and devotes a separate subchapter to the election law. In the form of an excursion, theauthor also describes undemocraticforms ofthe state. In thefollowing IV chapter entitled TheRuleofLaw,theauthor,emphasizingtheorganiclinkbetweendemocraticstateandtheruleoflaw, pays attention to the historical development of the idea of the rule of law, the analysis ofthe principles of the rule of law and the foundations of constitutionalism. The textbook resultsin the final chapter entitled Legal Status of the Individua! in a Democratic state governed bytheruleoflaw(HumanRightsandtheirProtection).
