Vybrané kapitoly z pneumológie a ftizeológie

The study material presents the ethiopathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnostics and differential diagnosis, treatment, complications and prognosis of the most important non-specific diseases of the respiratory tract – bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, pleural syndrome, lung cancer, interstitial lung diseases including exogenous allergic alveolitis and sarcoidosis, and sleep apnoea syndrome. In the last chapter of the part dealing with non-specific disorders, the topic of chronic cor pulmonale, a major cardiovascular complication of chronic lung diseases, is elucidated. The last chapter is dedicated to the core of the discipline of phthiseology, i. e. the ethiopathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis.
