General dermatovenerology

General Dermatology is a basic part of dermatovenerology. Morphology, description and characteristics of the lesions are clue to the diagnosis and differentiation of the skin diseases together with exhausting history taking. The effort of this textbook was to create a practical guide how to examine a patient with skin disease. The aim of individual chapters is to acquire dermatological terminology, to master specific skin signs with physical examination, to be oriented in the algorithm of auxiliary examinations and tests and to understand different properties and characteristics of the skin due to age, onset, course and duration of the skin diseases. The last chapter presents practical topography of skin diseases in the tables. Dermatovenerology belongs to interdisciplinary subjects, so general dermatology should be a practical guide in the diagnosis of skin diseases not only for medical students, but also for general practitioners and related specialists.
