Profesionálne ochorenia respiračného systému

University textbooks focus on the most common occupational respiratory diseases. They represent the third most common group of diseases related to occupational exposure in Slovakia and in the other  European Union countries. Respiratory-tract damage can be transient, but also permanent and often clinically and prognostically serious. The publication deals with basic groups of diseases - interstitial lung diseases, allergic and tumor diseases of the respiratory system. Individual chapters describe etiopathogenesis of diseases, clinical picture, diagnostic methods and differential diagnosis. The final chapter draws attention to examination methods in occupational medicine. In the first part, the functional examination methods of the respiratory system are elaborated. The second part is devoted to imaging methods with illustrative visual documentation of the most commonly reported pneumoconiosis.
