The book – Slovak for Dentists - is a university text book for international students of Dental medicine who have already completed the first general Slovak language course (compulsory subject Slovak language 1). It means that the students use the textbook in the second semester (Slovak Language 2) and in the third semester (Slovak Language 3). The textbook is intended to prepare dental students for hospital practice in a real medical environment, and for dentist-patient communication. It is based on short dialogues and provides a wide variety of dental vocabulary, including the most frequent phrases to help students in common communication. The book can be used as a classroom textbook. It has 14 lessons that also introduce a simplified grammar of the Slovak language. For individual preparation (self-study) the students are provided with a Slovak-English dictionary and an answer key.
