University textbook: “Selected chapters from rheumatology for medical students” is intended for undergraduate study of medical students in the field of study: General Medicine and Dentistry within the subject Internal Medicine 5. The chapters mentioned in the work include the basics of rheumatology that is sufficient at the same time, it also serves for undergraduate training in the non-medical field of study - physiotherapy. This information is the basis for preparing for the so-called: „progression exam“ within a common internist strain and at the same time the basis for specialized study in the fields of general physician and physiotherapist.
The text is divided into the following parts: examination methods in rheumatology, therapeutic procedures in rheumatology, autoimmune diseases in rheumatology, crystal-induced arthritis, infectious arthritis, non-inflammatory rheumatic diseases and metabolic bone diseases.
In conclusion there is a pictorial supplement to the individual nosological units, which are discussed in detail in the text.
