Vybrané kapitoly zo špeciálnej neurológie

Over the last twenty years, the neurological sciences have made significant progress both in elucidating the pathological processes and mechanisms of development of many neurological diseases, as well as in new treatment options. The presented textbook contains basic information about the most important neurological diseases, their diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment in the range for medical students as well as neurologists in specialized training. The part intended for neurologists is distinguished by color underprint. Compared to the first edition from 2017, we have supplemented and reworked some chapters in accordance with the latest findings, especially the section on cerebrovascular diseases, autoimmune diseases, but also on epilepsy, neuroinfections, migraines, movement disorders and demyelinating diseases. We believe that this textbook, which fills the vacuum in the study literature in Slovak literature from the last period, will be of benefit to students as well as young doctors and will introduce them to the complicated but extremely interesting and attractive issues of neurological diseases.
