Chater 1 presented the theoretical and empirical foundations of research-based drug use prevention, the results of etiologic studies, the research results of risk/protective factors of drug use, as well as research findings on resilience as a one-dimensional and a multi-dimensional construct. The effective strategies of school-based drug use prevention programs were explained in Chapter 2. Psychological findings in relation to competency, resilience, enthusiasm, as well as well-being of teachers, as basic pre-conditions of effective school drug use prevention program implementation were presented in Chapter 3. „Unplugged“ drug use prevention program designed for the European school setting was presented in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 provides a discussion of the research findings related to problematic internet use and prevention. This course book was designed to offer help and support to further teachers, social workers, psychologists, and other relevant professionals.
